  • Life, Reading and Writing

It really is amazing to me that reading and writing is one of the main skills we focus on helping students achieve. It remains one of the most satisfying sets of skills to use that I have in life. There is nothing better than reading a good book, and you never feel quite as understood than when someone reads what you have written and really interacts with it.

I do think it is my enjoyment of reading that leads me to want to write. It is the other side of the reading coin.

It’s exciting to think about the good writing that is going on in the world today.

The good stuff has a way of rising to the top. Of course some remains hidden, but the writing that endures for decades surfaces, and is available to read and to think about, and to write about. Writing begets writing, understanding others helps us understand ourselves, which leads to the urge to write, and provides things for others to read and understand.

I hope this note finds you well. Blessings to you!
